ECR Network Event – Collaborating with Industry

Working with companies, charities or public sector bodies as a partner can be a great way of helping academic research to have real impact, and in generating new ideas. There are many forms this can take, such as knowledge exchange, consultancy work, or even as partners on a research project. But what is it like to have these collaborations for the researcher? And how can we make the most of them?

The ECR Network will be holding a panel session at OR66 trying to answer these questions. We’ll be hearing from a panel of more senior academics on their experiences of working with industry, both the opportunities and the challenges. After each offers a short talk, there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion too.

Speakers will include Professor Daniel Gartner (Cardiff University), Dr Melissa Humphries (University of Adelaide) and Dr Anna-Lena Sachs (Lancaster University).

Join us at 2.10 pm on Tuesday 10 September to find out more about collaborating with industry!
